A slice of history, this is covered in detailed hand engraving. We can just picture the goldsmith that was mapping out each stroke with the graver to form the flowers, the leaves.
The background was 'shaded' using a Florentine graver, then finished with a twisted wire border on the top and bottom, remarkably evenly - soldered on by hand! The box clasp has a satisfying 'click' to close and a safety chain. It has complete British hallmarks - made in Birmingham in 1976 by Joseph Smith & Sons.
