Some pieces can be more exciting than others when they come across our desk... this would be one of those instances.
These earrings were handmade showcasing two filigree styles incorporated side by side . Filigree is the technique used as goldsmiths made very fine twisted wire, flattened it and has crafted it into the most interesting swirls and curls. It creates an end result that is very lightweight, a delicate and striking look while also giving the appearance of substantial earrings.
These are also 12 karat gold, a fairly uncommon gold karat, so their origin remains a mystery.
