By our estimate, this dates back from the late Victorian to the early Edwardian era, circa 1890-1910. It has a distinctive crescent shaped bar, a common motif in Victorian jewellery, often symbolizing the moon. The trefoil/clover ends are meant to symbolize the Holy Trinity or simply "good luck". A polished, "puffy" heart charm dangles from the center. This was a classic romantic token in the 19th century, often given as a "sweetheart" gift to represent love and affection. The craftsmanship is evident, from the hand-engraving, the filigree scrollwork and we love seeing this handmade hinge and clasp on the back.
Appreciated by any collector, this is a true antique piece with all the history that we love. Wear this on a jacket or hat.
