Victorian revival pieces such as this one were part of a mini revival from the 1970's and 80's. During this time in history there was a cultural craving for antique themes. The creamy opals have soft flashes of colour surrounded by deep red garnets, and of course, scroll work on the sides. This ring is also more substantial than other older reproductions that we see. It was designed well to be worn often and protect the stones.
